Privacy notice

What we collect, why, and your rights.

This notice explains what personal information FastFDE (“we”, “us”) collects through fastfde.ai, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the site, reply to you, and match engineers with roles.

What we collect

  • What you send us. If you send a hiring brief or use the contact form: your name, email, company and role, and what you tell us about the work. If you apply as an engineer: see applicants below.
  • Technical request data. When you load a page, our hosting and security provider processes your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse. When you send a form, we also store your IP address, country and browser type with the submission, to detect spam and abuse; they are deleted when the submission is deleted.
  • Nothing else. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry or brief and continue the conversation you started.
  • To consider applicants for roles and contact them about roles that fit.
  • To protect the site and our systems against spam, fraud and attacks.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

If you apply as an engineer

When you apply, we collect your name, email, location, the link you share, the role and hiring options you choose, your availability, and what you tell us about your work. We use it to assess your application, to contact you, and, with your agreement, to put you forward for specific roles. We do not share your details with a hiring company without telling you first. We do not ask for identity documents, bank details or sensitive personal information through this website.

You can ask us to update or delete your application at any time.

Legal bases (UK and EEA)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in replying to inquiries and keeping the site secure, and on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time.

Service providers

  • Cloudflare hosts and protects the site (hosting, content delivery, firewall, bot protection and the human check on our forms), and stores form submissions in a database in our account. It processes request data, including IP addresses, on our behalf.
  • Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces. Your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address. Google states it does not set cookies for this service.

Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries and briefs for as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep applications while they are relevant to roles we are filling, and delete them when they are not, or when you ask. Technical request logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. Residents of California and other US states have rights to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither). We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.

To make a request, email hello@fastfde.ai, or use our contact form and choose “Privacy request”. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, behind a web application firewall, from an origin server with no public ports. Contact submissions are stored with restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you send us.

Children

This site is for business audiences and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will update this notice when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
